The Kia EV9 has been named “Car of the Year 2024” in the UK. The awards celebrate the best new vehicles currently available to UK customers across eight categories.
The UK Car of the Year jury is made up of 30 journalists working in automotive, business and technology publications across the UK.
In addition to winning the overall award, the EV9 was victorious in the hotly contested “Large Crossover” category. The judges praised the EV9 for several factors, in particular, the model's inherent practicality, modern design and long electric range.
“The super-practical Kia EV9 is probably the vehicle that will wean more drivers away from petrol or diesel cars than any other model. Seven seats, technology, premium quality and enough battery miles are enough to ease range anxiety – and it's great to drive,” said the UK Car of the Year Awards.
