King Charles III has moved away from son Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle, who live in the United States, using the couple’s UK residence, Frogmore Cottage, British media reported on Wednesday (1).
Frogmore Cottage was given to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a wedding gift by Queen Elizabeth II in 2018. The residence has five bedrooms and is close to Windsor Castle in West London.
According to “The Sun” newspaper, Buckingham Palace sent the couple an “eviction notice”.Since leaving the UK in 2020, he has multiplied his attacks against the royal family.
The couple’s expensive renovations, which cost US$2.4 million (about R$12.5 million) of public money, caused a scandal, and Prince Harry had to repay the money.
And according to “The Sun”, Charles III did not propose a new residence for the Dukes of SussexThat is what it means During some of their visits to the UK, the royal residence will not be present.
The decision appears to be in response to the publication of Prince Harry’s memoir “What’s Left” earlier this year. In it, the youngest son of the British king makes a reckoning with his family.
“The Sun” also reported that Prince Andrew had asked his brother, Prince Andrew, to visit Frogmore Cottage. The idea was to cut costs for his younger brother, who now lives in a lavish property in Windsor..
Asked by AFP, Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the report.
