A meeting of doctors will be held on Saturday and the proposal will be presented to the president-elect

On Saturday (19th), the physicians and those representing the chapter met and prepared a document with proposals to be implemented in the first 100 days of Lula’s government🇧🇷 They will be handed over to Geraldo Alcmene and Aloisio Mercadante, coordinators of the transitional group of the Lula government.

Led by cardiologist and intensive care unit Ludmila Hajjar, 25 health professionals from various disciplines attended the meeting. Among them is oncologist and former minister Nelson Teich.

Among the proposals to be formalized are: Immediately re-establishing the Ministry of Health’s role in communication. An immediate review of the training provided by the technical rooms and centers affiliated with the Ministry of Health to include qualified technical persons and medical associations, so that science is the champion; Unifying the schedule of vaccinations against Covid-19 in the country; giving full autonomy to health agencies to let science determine public policy; Develop specific policies for the care of critically ill patients, the elderly and in the field of mental health.
