Lula’s campaign tried to change the date of the Globo debate

Former President’s Campaign Coordinator squid (EN) Try to bring forward a discussion date Globo TVcurrently scheduled for September 29.

The attempt was made by Labor allies during a Tuesday (9/13) meeting between presidential candidates and station staff.

The request to anticipate the confrontation was made by the Federal Representative Roy Falcao (PT-SP), Lola Campaign Contact Area Coordinator.

According to Labor members heard by the column, the attempt to anticipate the debate is due to the fact that September 29 is the last day of free election time on television.

The fear in Lula’s campaign is that the former president has no television ads to counter any criticism or poor performance in the debate.

The proposal of Lula’s allies was not accepted by the other campaigns, nor by the Globo direction. Wanted by the column, Roy Falcao and the announcer did not respond.
