The children were attending a dance class to songs by singer Taylor Swift at the time of the attack
On Monday (29), a man stabbed 9 people, including children, on a street in the suburbs of Liverpool, England. According to police, the suspect was arrested after breaking into a property on a street in a residential area of Southport, killing two children and injuring several others. According to local press reports, a group of children were taking part in a dance class.
The dance class was a themed event featuring songs by American singer Taylor Swift, local media reported, citing police reports. The victims were rushed to rescue, unfortunately two children did not survive.
The owner of a store on the same street, Dare Varatan, told The Associated Press that he saw seven to 10 bloodied children running out of the property where the attack took place.
“It looks like something you'd see in America,” said dealer Colin Barry, who owns a local auto repair shop.
Yvette Cooper, the UK Home Secretary, said the British government was in contact with local authorities and said she was “deeply concerned” about the case. Knife attacks are not uncommon in the UK.
