A new challenger to the bantamweight title could be crowned this weekend when he faces Marlon Vera and Corey Sandhagen in the main event of UFC Fight Night.
Vera is looking to add to his five straight wins, with the highlights of his current streak against former champions Dominic Cruz and Frankie Edgar. The two Americans were ahead on the score sheets against Vera before the Ecuadorian sent both of them off impressively.
American Sandhagen, meanwhile, has lost twice to former champions in recent times, losing painful decisions to Peter Yan and TJ Dillashaw before rebounding with a TKO against Song Yadong in August.
In the co-main event, former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm faces Yana Santos.
