More than 15,000 residents of Balneário Cambori have been immunized against influenza

The Balneário Camboriú Health Department has already vaccinated more than 15,000 residents against influenza. The 24th National Influenza (Influenza) vaccination campaign is already in the second phase and continues to vaccinate against H1N1, H3N2 and type B strains until June 3, in vaccination rooms in all basic health units, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and then 13: 30 to 17:00.

The priority categories eligible for the second stage are: children from 6 months to less than 5 years (4 years, 11 months and 29 days); pregnant and postpartum women; Indian people are teachers; comorbidities of persons with permanent disabilities; security, rescue and armed forces; truck drivers and workers in the long-distance and urban mass road transport of passengers; port workers; prison system officials; Adolescents and young adults from 12 to 21 years old who are subject to social and pedagogical measures; Persons deprived of their liberty. Older adults aged 60 or over and health professionals, who are included in Phase I, can still be vaccinated.

In parallel, the eighth national campaign of measles vaccination was organized in Balneario Camborić, which has already vaccinated 2028 people. In the second phase, which also lasts until June 3, children from six months to under five years old are eligible. The measles vaccine also protects against mumps and rubella and is available in vaccination rooms at UBSs.
