According to vocalist Fred 04, Bolsonarista’s militia featured profiles of the Popular Front, Councilman Carlos Bolsonaro, and Special Secretary for Culture, Mario Frias.
247 – a Japa from Pernambuco Mundo Livre S/A’s ninth studio album, Walking Dead Folia, has become a target of Bolsonarista’s militia even before its official launch scheduled for Thursday (20). The photo, which alludes to Jair Bolsonaro’s denial and inaction in the face of the pandemic, is marked by Bolsonaristas such as Chancellor Carlos Bolsonaro and Special Secretary for Culture, Mario Frias.
The illustration, drawn by Wendell Araujo, shows several characters, with Adolf Hitler wearing a green-yellow sash, and revelers carrying in the coffin of a dead clown wearing a Brazil national team jersey that reads “Syria, you are released!”.
“In the past few hours, I started noticing that the posts were from Bolsonaristas, referring to the profiles of the Federal Police, [vereador] Carlos Bolsonaro … and [secretário especial de Cultura] Mario Frias (laughs),” singer and founder of the band Fred 04 told the newspaper or balloon. The musician added, “You know you burst when that kind of thing starts popping up!”
In addition to denouncing Jair Bolsonaro’s disregard for the pandemic, the album’s title refers to a carnival block that was already in Olinda. “This mass was already there, in an underground carnival at dawn, decades ago. It was a crowd of people who went out with a wooden coffin and put in it anyone they had found on the pier. I was not thrown into a coffin like that, having blown a bottle, because a fellow He was watching me in the gutter,” explained Fred 04.
The songs on the new album carry strong political and social charges, as well as their connection to the personal issues that Fred 04 has experienced during the pandemic.
