The ministry said in a note that the two presidents should discuss developments in the process of normalizing bilateral relations – which began on the first of last January – including the reopening of relevant embassies and consular sectors and the recent appointment of Venezuela’s ambassador to Brazil. .
Last week, Lula received the credentials of the new ambassador of the Nicolas Maduro regime, from Venezuela, to Brazil, Manuel Vicente Fadel Aquino. The document is a formality that marks the beginning of the diplomat’s work in Brazil. The ambassador assumes the position after handing over the documents to the government of the country in which he will work.

Particular attention will be given to border issues, with an emphasis on the protection of the populations residing in this area, including the Yanomami peoples. This was stated in a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
