Nobel Peace Prize criticizes Lula's ignorance of the dictatorship in Iran – Diario de Poder

Iranian human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 2003, Iranian human rights activist Shirin Ebadi criticized Lula's silence on the tyranny of the theocratic regime in Iran.

Ebadi told the newspaper Folha de São Paulo that Lula is unaware when he criticizes the actions of the State of Israel in Gaza and ignores the regime in Tehran.
He added: “I deeply regret that President Lula was not well informed, which led him to pay a visit to Iran [em 2010] And support the Iranian regime.” The activist stated.

He added: I protested at the time. I told him this message and told him he was wrong. If he is a leftist and a defender of the working class, he must know that the Iranian regime is an enemy of the working class.

In her statement, Ebadi reveals Lula's diplomatic embarrassment, which is a consensus even among leftist intellectuals. And I wanted to say something else. To be fair, it is not enough to rise up against the United States and protest. There must be other things to say. President Lula tends to believe that being against the United States is enough to be on his side, and that the enemies of my enemies are my friends. “I have tried to convey this message to him several times, and I will do so again on this occasion.”
