North Korean soldiers cross the border into South Korea for the third time in two weeks world

North Korean soldiers crossed the border with South Korea for the third time in two weeks, this Thursday (20). This led the South Korean military to fire new warning shots. Similar cases were recorded on the 9th and 18th of this month.

As on other occasions, the violation occurred at the demarcation line in the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Once the warning shots were fired, the North Korean soldiers returned to the North.

In addition to the shots, the South Korean military also activated loudspeakers to alert North Korean soldiers.

South Korea said the invasion appeared to be accidental. After returning to their positions in the north, the soldiers of Kim Jong Un's regime resumed their duties and worked into the night.

In the other two cases recorded throughout June, South Korea also stated that it believed the violations were unintentional.

According to the South Korean news agency Yonhap, since April, North Korea has sent a large number of troops to the demilitarized zone, where they are carrying out a series of activities.

Among the works identified by South Korea are installing landmines, building fences and strengthening roads.
