As you know, Nvidia selects few resellers worldwide to offer its Founders Edition cards. In the UK mess, that task falls to Scan, which may have inadvertently released a new company plate recently before it was officially confirmed.
The company’s website is listed A new graphics card Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, although not a new model, is listed with GTDR6X memory. The original version of the 3060 Ti, until now, only had GDDR6 memories.
The move to GDDR6X should offer some improvements in terms of the maximum bandwidth the card can achieve, although it remains to be seen if this improvement will bring significant changes to gaming performance.
It should be noted that there is no official confirmation that the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will actually get a version with GTX 6X memory. It could be a new card not yet confirmed by Nvidia, or a simple oversight from the online store while writing the content.
Theoretically, with this change, the card could have a maximum bandwidth of 608 GB/s instead of the 448 GB/s of the regular version with GDDR6.
