One UI 6.1 with AI released for Galaxy S22, S21, and more older devices

Samsung announced on Friday (10) that One UI 6.1 will be released for several mobile phone models from previous generations of the Galaxy S24 line. The update will arrive for Galaxy Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4, and devices in the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy S22 lines. The announcement covers models sold in the USA, but there are also users receiving the update in other countries.

One UI 6.1 includes Galaxy AI, a set of advanced features based on artificial intelligence (AI) that was launched in January. At the moment, the assembly with Galaxy AI has already arrived for devices in the Galaxy S23 line and for the foldable phones Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 sold in Brazil.

Galaxy AI in One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S23 and S24 lines brings several AI features, such as Circle to Search, Chat Assistant, Interpreter, instant translation, and more.

However, users of older Galaxy devices have reported that most of the AI ​​features from One UI 6.1 are not included in the update.

However, in today's announcement, the company did not mention any kind of restrictions on the mentioned models. There is only a caveat that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 models, as well as the Galaxy S21 line, will only be equipped with the circular features for search and chat assistant.
