South Africa submitted the initiative on December 29, 2023, and addresses alleged violations of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The first hearings for the process are scheduled to begin on Thursday (January 11, 2024).
“We ask for Brazil’s support for this South African initiative to put an end to this genocide against the Palestinian people and to liberate the people of Israel and in this case the people of Palestine from this incident.”Al-Zaben said.
