Anyone who has accessed social networks X and TikTok in the past month may have occasionally seen some posts about the new Globo TV series, “Pé de Chinesa”, directed by Gloria Péres. The amount of effort among users to promote this fake series was so great that a plot was created. In the cast, Jade Bacon will play the role of the protagonist who falls in love with a Chinese kidnapper, played by Davi Brito. As a joke, the actors listed in the fake series “Pé de Chinesa” are former BBBs.

Timeline of the creation of the fake series Pé de China

Although it seems like a hoax, the story gained significant dimensions on the internet due to the gradual building of the plot and the supposed marketing disclosures about the “Chinese foot” conspiracy. First came the false information that Gloria Perez had cast Jade Bacon in her upcoming TV series. The former BBB had worked in Travesia, a production of the playwright. So, the information began to spread online without much doubt.

That’s when a creative layer from X and TikTok began, organically, to extrapolate misinformation using visuals. The entire cast, the series’ opening, and even the trailer featuring Jade Bacon, Devi Brito, and Giovanna Antonelli were created using AI to reinforce the false narrative of the nonexistent series (see below).

Even before the joke got this complicated, playwright Gloria Perez, in an interview with Karas, denied the existence of this series: “What nonsense! My haters were more creative.
