At one point, the Power Rangers AAA project was in development, with the “Arkham Rangers” concept, but it didn’t move forward.

Jason Bischoff, the former global manager of Power Rangers at Hasbro, who is now at Funko, shared on Twitter that the game, codenamed “Project Nomad” was in development in 2016 but not past its initial stages.

It is described as “an ambitious open world cooperative game that captured the energy, teamwork, and story of the series through a fresh perspective”.

It’s a concept that seems to have a lot in common with what is done in Gotham Knights by Warner Bros. Toys.

Bischoff says Project Nomad has no internal support or budget, but has been given the green light to explore the possibility of this project being realized independently.

According to him, conversations with studios and publishers were favorable, but there were significant changes at that time that completely changed the direction of conversations and Project Nomad did not take off.

This open world AAA Power Rangers has yet to come true and will remain a fan’s dream.
