Redfall’s massive new update is getting impressive reviews so far

Last Friday brought us the unexpected arrival of the Redfall 2.0 update, which included the long-awaited 60fps performance mode as well as several other improvements to gameplay, UI, and more.

It’s still early days for this new update, but overall feedback has been positive so far. We saw many Xbox fans taking to social media over the weekend to share how much they liked the changes:

I spent some time with the new Redfall update. Gameplay has improved significantly, better controls and 60 FPS have made for a smoother experience, and the open world is a little more populated. This is good for decent gameplay. Your impressions?

Redfall’s art design and atmosphere are top notch.

I just logged over 2 hours in @playRedfall at 60fps with game optimizations and wow, I love it! I’ve started a new character, #Remy! It’s really cool, if you missed #Redfall, I suggest trying it again!

IGN quickly deleted their tweets after the 60fps patch arrived for RedFall, and they weren’t so lucky, posting their own clickbait content the same day the patch arrived.

We’re only a few minutes into #Redfall with encounters (enemies are more frequent/in patrols) in the open world with the new Xbox Series

It’s great to see Improved reception for Redfall after its new patchBut the question remains whether this will lead to a greater number of players. So far, this doesn’t appear to be the case on Steam. However, it is definitely a start!
