as such Seen last WednesdayOn November 30, Embraer announced that it had received a new order for the E195-E2, the largest commercial model ever produced in Brazil, for a total of 5 units valued at US$389.4 million, equivalent to just over R$2. billion in current currency conversion.

Despite the announcement, the Brazilian manufacturer described the airline that placed the order as “undeclared,” which is not uncommon, as customers sometimes demand confidentiality until they officially announce their fleet plans.

However, in this case, the revelation actually came in the same week, namely on Friday, December 2nd, two days after Embraer’s announcement.

The airline Binter, based in the Spanish autonomous community of the Canary Islands, has reported that it has signed a purchase of five E195-E2 aircraft to expand its fleet, which already includes five more units of the same model.

The aircraft were received from 2019, making Binter the first European airline to fly this model.

According to the airline, in the agreement, two planes will arrive in November 2023, another two in December and the rest in April 2024, Embraer reported on Wednesday.

The Canary Islands airline made the announcement officially within the framework of the aviation conference held in Gran Canaria, with journalists from the sector from the various destinations that Pinter flies to, which is why Embraer has been asked to maintain confidentiality.

Binter’s new general coordinator, Santiago Guerra, commented on the company’s decision:

“The experience gained over the years confirms the excellent assessment our customers have made of this aircraft model, which is well suited to long Binter routes and with more passengers. The arrival of new aircraft will allow us to increase the route and destination offerings we now have.”

The E195-E2s were ordered in the same 132-seat, single-class special configuration already used by the company, allowing for comfortable row spacing.
