The 2023 Florida Cup will see Real Madrid and Juventus match in Orlando, United States

For the second year in a row, the Florida Cup is bringing a great European classic to Orlando. The two giants, Real Madrid and Juventus, will face each other at Camping World Stadium, on the 2nd of August. The clash between two of the biggest clubs in European football will be part of the Football Champions Tour and will conclude the series of friendlies for the two teams on American soil this summer.

This will be the 17th meeting between two of the biggest brands in world football, who have already clinched the UEFA Champions League in the 1997/98 and 2016/17 seasons – both won by Madrid – and now face each other for the first time in Orlando. The ‘Brazilian magic’ will be guaranteed on the pitch: while the Madrid side have the trio of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Eder Militao, the Bianconeri have Danilo, Alex Sandro and Bremer – all six athletes were with Brazil at the Qatar World Cup – plus young striker Caio Jorge, Santos the previous.

Since last year, the Florida Cup has brought great European classics to Orlando, which wraps up the week of the FC Series. In 2022, Arsenal and Chelsea filled Camping World, breaking the city’s soccer match attendance record, with 63,811 people in attendance, ending the week of the event in the United States.

The 2023 FC Series is set to open on July 19, with an exhibition between Chelsea and Wrexham, a Welsh club whose owners are actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhinney. The game will be played at Keenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. All tickets on sale for the match sold out in just four days.

The first FC Series game of 2023 will mark the first meeting between the two sides since 1984 – and the first to be played outside the UK. It will also be the first international football game to be held at Kenan Stadium, home of the University of North Carolina, where major stars of American sports have appeared, with a focus on the greatest player in NBA history, Michael Jordan.

This summer’s FC Series schedule also includes an Orlando stop for the Premier League Summer Series. Fulham and Aston Villa will face each other on July 26 at the Exploria Stadium.

– 2023 is the year of the consolidation of the Florida Cup expansion in the United States, as we seek, working with strategic partners, to bring related games to various American cities, such as Chapel Hill, which this year will host a football match for the first international time at Kenan Stadium. And of course we will end this edition with a great European derby match in Orlando, where we are expecting a huge crowd to watch Real Madrid and Juventus. It will be another memorable and eventful week for fans with our fantastic partner Universal Orlando Resort – analyzed FC Series CEO Ricardo Villar.

Additional FC Series events will be announced in the coming days. All dates, times and ticket information are available at FCSeries.com.
