After eight years away from television, Monique Curie returns to the air in difficult scenes on Família É Tudo. She will play the doctor in charge of Tom's case (Renato Joyce). It will be up to her character to deliver terrible news to the good man: he has a very serious brain aneurysm and is in danger of dying or surviving the consequences.
Monique's scenes from episode (4) are scheduled to be broadcast on Thursday of the 7 o'clock series on Globo. Tom will have had tests, but he will not imagine that his health is not going well. He will be shocked when he receives the doctor's diagnosis.
“Given the size and location of the aneurysm, even with surgery, your chances of survival are unfortunately low. And even if the surgery is successful, you are likely to have significant consequences,” explains Dulce, Monique’s character.
“Surgery is still your only chance, even with all the risks. And you have to have surgery soon. The aneurysm could burst at any moment. In days, weeks, months at most. And if it ruptures, it will rupture. It will be fatal, I’m sorry, Tom,” the specialist will say. “So that’s it? I’m going to die!” Tom will say in shock, in the scenes scheduled for Chapter (5) of Friday.
In an interview with Extra, the actress commented on her scenes: “Dulce is a human doctor, she has empathy. She speaks to Tom with great affection when diagnosing and proposing treatment. There is emotion.”

Monique Curie achieved success on television mainly in the 1980s and 1990s, participating in several television series by author Manuel Carlos, such as Felicidad (1991), Historia de amor (1995), and Lacos de Familia (2000).
Before Família É Tudo, the last TV series she participated in was Haja Coração (2016), by the duo Daniel Ortiz (writer) and Fred Meyrink (director). The actress is a friend of Meyrink's, and in Haja Coração she played another doctor named Dulce.
Monique has changed careers in recent years: she has become a speaker, writer and online content producer. In her work, she explores topics such as self-love, aging, female empowerment, entrepreneurship and relationships.
The actress expressed her happiness at the opportunity to return to the series at this stage of her life. “I was flattered by the invitation. This is a time when I have dedicated myself to lectures, which would have been difficult to combine with a full-fledged TV series. And I felt at home.
