The rheumatic disease known as “rheumatica” affects more than 15 million Brazilians and is characterized by various disorders that affect the locomotor system, attacking the bones, joints, cartilage, muscles, tendons and ligaments. In general, diseases cause a lot of pain to patients and represent one of the biggest reasons for absenteeism from work and also for retirement disability.
