The Cê Tá On project concludes the series of training days on Saturday

The Cê Tá On project, the result of an unprecedented agreement between the municipality of Belo Horizonte, the British government, through the UK-Brazil Tech Hub, and FA.VELA, will conclude this Saturday (6) series of training days for six metropolitan regions. Passing through different regions since the beginning of May, the event that offers free workshops and mentorship on entrepreneurship, employment and food security, ends the course in a day of activities, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, at the Municipal School Herbert José de Souza, in the neighborhood New Aaron Reese.

“The events are opportunities to mobilize more people for the project and expand the positive impact that Cê Tá On has already had in the lives of many people. Embedding and educating about the digital world is an important path for us to promote new employment, income and new business opportunities for the most vulnerable citizens,” comments Fernando Campos. Mota, Municipal Secretary for Economic Development.

Cê Tá On has been taking place since November 2022 in the public communication centers of the municipality, located in the Central, South, Barreiro, Northwest, North, East and West regions. The project aims to promote access to the digital world and strengthen the entrepreneurial behavior of historically weak groups and regions.

On a daily basis, dedicated professionals work in these call centers to support residents in registering and participating in free courses offered by Prodabel, as well as instructing people on accessing digital services and conducting project-specific training workshops.

During the formative trip events, workshops and mentoring are offered. The workshops are group activities, which are held in the morning and evening periods, with twenty places available for each class, on topics: entrepreneurship, employment, and food safety. The directions are a help intended for people who already have a knowledge of the topics and want more specific guidance. There are five places at a time, morning and afternoon. Since places are limited, it is necessary to register in advance at each call center to ensure participation.

“The Cê Tá On Training Journey is a unique opportunity for the populations served by the program to gain entrepreneurial skills and transform their businesses through digital tools and strategies. We are very pleased with this successful partnership between the UK Government, City Hall and FA.VELA on this project that has already impacted more than 6,000 people in Belo Horizonte. We will not leave anyone out of the opportunities of the digital economy,” highlights Andrea Mota, Director of the UK and Brazil Technology Center.
