A chain classic, this snack replaces the beef burger with crispy chicken.
McDonald’s famous Big Mac won a chicken version in 2017, which debuted in Australia and became a hit in the UK. Now, as the company informed the news portal Insider, the goal is to expand the innovation to America.
“We’ve always wanted to give our fans more ways to enjoy the classic menu items they know and love,” said a McDonald’s representative. The Chicken Big Mac replaces the beef burger with crispy chicken.
Some establishments in Miami (Florida, USA) have a new item on their menu this month. If the product is popular enough, this increase is done over a period of time to test product acceptance among consumers to enable a national rollout. The Chicken Big Mac is expected to hit all Florida locations later this month.
“While not everything we tested is on our menu in the U.S., we will use this time to gather feedback from customers and restaurant staff as we consider opportunities to offer more flavorful options in the future,” a McDonald’s spokeswoman said.
Launched in the UK in early 2022, the Chicken Big Mac was so successful that 10 days after its launch, it was temporarily withdrawn from branches due to “incredible” public demand. As a McDonald’s spokesperson told Insider, the chicken burger is the company’s “most popular launch of all time.”
