Azoulay Neto is the President of the Federal Regional Court for District Two and his candidacy was unanimously approved by the CCJ. Should the plenary be confirmed, the vacant position of retired Minister Nabulao Nunes Maya Filho will be filled by the judge. At the hearing, Azoulay called himself a guarantor judge “committed to complying with the Constitution and to the uncompromising defense of individual rights and guarantees and the protection of citizens from possible abuses by the state.”
Domingues’ nomination was approved by a vote of 26 to 1. He is a judge of the Federal Territorial Court for District 3 (TRF3) and is seeking to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Minister Navy Cordero. During the presentation, he stressed the need for dialogue between countries “to preserve the stability of the republic.” “There are limits to the performance of each country, and we are aware of this in our daily activities and in the dialogue between institutions.”
