In two days in the city, Lula grabbed Rio de Janeiro in a series of meetings and worked with thousands of people.
247 – Lula had an intense and dedicated schedule during his two-day stay in Rio, on Tuesday (29) and Wednesday (30), which ended a literal-filled night in Mangueira. There have been dozens of public and private meetings with leaders of popular movements and especially the city’s slums, with artists, politicians, intellectuals, oil workers, Mangueiras, the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) community and leaders from Latin America and Europe.
On Tuesday, the agenda included a meeting with the Unique Federation of Workers (FUP) followed by a “lunch with a conversation”, organized by the Favela Orgânica movement, a community in Babilônia – on the menu, a lunch with jackfruit risotto. It ended with a meeting with artists organized by Lyudmila.
On Wednesday, two agendas were devoted to, the International Meeting on Democracy and Equality at UERJ and the night in Mangueira.
