The Consul General of the United Kingdom, Anjum Noorani, will deliver a lecture in Espiritu Santo, during the UK-Brazil Foreign Trade Symposium. The aim is to discuss business opportunities in international trade and improvement agendas for the foreign trade sector in Espírito Santo.
The event will take place on July 19, at 9 am, at the headquarters of the Confederation of Industries in Espiritu Santo (Find), Vitoria.
Registration is free and can be done in this Link.
“It will be an important event to strengthen relations between Espirito Santo and the United Kingdom. We will talk about the recent concession awarded by Codesa, and how we can boost international trade, passing through the ports of Espirito Santo,” said Corecon-ES President, Claudie Pereira Neto.
Federal Economic Council (Cofecon) member Eduardo Araujo emphasized that the event is an opportunity to discuss the reform agenda to improve foreign trade in Espírito Santo.
“The UK’s decision to leave the European Union has led to more flexibility in bilateral trade that can benefit Brazil as well as Espirito Santo companies,” Eduardo commented.
Anjum arrived in Brazil as the British Consul General in Rio de Janeiro in January 2022. He is also responsible for the UK government’s climate and energy zones across Brazil.
“I am delighted to pay my first official visit to Espiritu Santo. As Consul General, I am formally responsible for British relations – Espirito Santo and would like to deepen and broaden our cooperation on issues such as climate, trade and security. I have met many capixabas in the past and have found them warm and open. The Consul General of the Kingdom said. The United Kingdom of Espírito Santo’s motto is ‘Work and Trust’ – I intend to do both to build a stronger relationship with the UK in the future.”
