British Editors On Tuesday, they announced the details of their seventh album EBMto be released on September 23 by the poster Play it again Sam.
The new album will be the first with new band member Benjamin John Power, aka Blanck Mass, who was announced as an official member in April with the album’s first single, “Heart Attack” (here).
A second preview of the new album has arrived on streaming services. It’s “Karma Climb”, a new song that combines ghostly vibes and stadium anthems, accompanied by dynamic live video.
The six members also announced a 15-day European tour that will take place in October, as well as 7 shows in the UK and Ireland in early 2023 that will see them play the popular Troxy in London, with other dates in Nottingham, Norwich and Manchester. The tour is known for its compelling live presence, presenting Editors An opportunity to test these new tracks in living spaces, as Bauer explains: “There is a strong physical significance to this album. EBM began its life with the goal of connecting with people and filling a very physical space. However, there is also emotional materiality that runs throughout; urgency and feeling Panic. Unease. Even in the most tender moment, there is a yearning for communication.”
