Palmeiras Farm, located in Ipameri (GO), owned by rural producer Sonia Bonato, participates in the International Sustainable Rural Project – Cerrado and hosts, on Saturday 3/11, starting at 8 am, the second field day with the theme: Land, Work and Family: Women for the future. The event will bring together women, families and professionals from the agribusiness chain of 9 Brazilian states and entities and authorities in the sector.
Sônia works with the production of soybeans, silage, corn and Brahman genetics and its property is an explanatory unit of PRS – Cerrado, which has been identified as an exemplary characteristic in the application of sustainable production practices. The program includes lectures and discussion circles, which are held in the form of a participatory workshop.

PRS – Cerrado is the result of partnerships: UK Government; Inter-American Development Bank (IDB); Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock; Brazilian Institute for Development and Sustainability, IABS; In addition to Embrapa and the ILPF network. It aims to increase the income and land productivity of small and medium-sized rural holdings in the 4 states of Cerrado-Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Minas Gerais.
