This Wednesday (12), Santos recorded a decrease in the number of people receiving treatment in the health network from 502 to 474 people (-5.5%). Of these, 219 are from Santos (46.2%) and 255 (53.8%) from other municipalities.
The number of patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds also decreased from 287 to 275 (-4.1%). Of these, 123 are from Santos (44.7%) and 152 from other cities (55.3%).
The overall occupancy rate for the 772 COVID-19 beds is 61%, and out of the 410 ICU beds, the occupancy rate is 67%. In the SUS network it is 55% and in the private network it is 81%.
Also on Wednesday, the city received 117 notifications of Coronavirus among residents. The accumulated number of cases increased from 43,244 to 43,361. 39,637 people have recovered from the disease since the start of the pandemic.
Seven other deaths have been confirmed: they refer to five women, aged between 53 and 94, who died between March 24 and May 9, and two men, 60 and 66 years old, who died on April 30 and May 9, respectively. Thus, the municipality recorded 1547 deaths among the population since the beginning of the epidemic.
