season finale WorksheetThis year’s tenth meeting brought together leaders to discuss, among other issues, the opportunities and challenges of 2023 this Thursday (8), at Cinemark in Shopping Vitória.

In a session mediated by Apex Corporate President, Victor Casagrande, the macroeconomic scenario was discussed with the participants Arilton Teixeira, Apex Chief Economist; Daniel Mota, Partner at BTG Pactual and Portfolio Manager at BTG Pactual Assist, and Rafael Ornelas, Chief Economist at Navi Capital.

Arleton, in his speech, highlighted that we will not see China grow in double digits and pull the global economy like we have seen before. He claims that Brazil, in turn, will have the opportunity to grow more than China and still have lower inflation than the United States, the eurozone and the United Kingdom.

We hope that the negotiations in Congress will set some benchmarks, standards and barriers to excessive spending. The current economic situation is great, we are growing well, and inflation is down, as we haven’t seen it in a long time. What we have to continue to do is put pressure on the government to limit the excesses that will happen. If we can do this, the economy will continue to do well. Even in bad situations, we are able to maintain profitable investments in this country.celebrate.

Rafael pointed out that according to foreign investors, Brazil cannot miss the current opportunity.

“All that remains is for the elected government to pursue an economic agenda that is more faithful to the agendas in the textbook! Then Brazil will have the opportunity to stand out against other countries.”

Daniel also shared the opinion that it is only necessary to do homework to maintain Brazil’s good standing on the world stage.

“This year has been challenging. A year of high interest rates in the United States is always a great challenge for the rest of the world. We can open a global window for development. Brazil is well positioned, our competition is not good, and there are not many places to invest.”
