A young man, frightened by acupuncture to receive the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, cried out in desperation in a viral video. The case took place in the Mexican city of Chihuahua on Wednesday (28).
The hero of the movie and his friend were in line to get the vaccine, inside a multi-sport stadium in the Mexican city. Through the photographs recorded by the woman identified as Luna Chavira, it is possible to notice the boy’s nervous appearance when he sees his turn in the application approaching.
Before that, the author of the video was taking the vaccine and showing no signs of pain or anxiety. Then the sanitary worker approached the scandalous and a roar erupted throughout the court, in which dozens of people lined up.
Despite the screams, he asks the applicant to keep trying to vaccinate him and she herself can’t resist and bursts out laughing. Then she takes the needle and puts in the immunizing agent. And as if Mexico had won an Olympic gold, the audience in the stadium celebrates the act of young people in overcoming difficulties.
After his fear, he said, “It doesn’t hurt.”
According to the Chihuahua government, the city has the second highest number of virus cases, with 21,524 recent confirmations in the state of the same name, behind Juarez (33399).
To contain the disease’s progression, vaccination of adults aged 20-25 began this week.
