From 2019 to 2021, the percentage of Brazilian households with pay TV decreased from 30.3% to 27.8%. There was only a slight increase in rural areas, from 16.4% to 17.8%. For 43.5% of respondents who do not have access to pay TV, the service is too expensive; 45.6% are not interested, and 8.7% have replaced TV packages with streaming services.
