The woman was released last March, but was subsequently forced to wear an electronic surveillance ankle. On March 7, Iranian authorities recalled the device. “We welcome the fact that Nassan’s Jakri-Radcliffe was allowed to remove his ankle, but the treatment Iran has continued to give him is unbearable. He should be allowed to return to the country,” British Foreign Secretary Dominic Robb wrote on Twitter, working for the Thomson Reuters Foundation. Radcliffe was arrested in 2016 for plotting to overthrow the Iranian government.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The British government has asked the UK government to authorize the exodus of British-Iranian Nassan Zakari-Radcliffe, who was sentenced to five years in prison for espionage.
The woman was released last March, but was subsequently forced to wear an electronic surveillance ankle. On March 7, Iranian authorities recalled the device.
“We welcome the fact that Nassan’s Zakari-Radcliffe has been allowed to have his ankle removed, but the treatment Iran continues to provide is unbearable. He should be allowed to return to the UK soon to be reunited with his family,” British Foreign Secretary Dominic Robb wrote on Twitter.
Zachary-Radcliffe, who worked for the Thomson Reuters Foundation, was arrested in 2016 on charges of plotting to overthrow the Iranian government, a woman denied. The court sentenced him to five years in prison for crimes against national security.
