Although the survival of red foxes in an urban environment is relatively complex, they are always adapting. What’s more, they need to fight for space. They try to demarcate territory the traditional way, urinating on the spot, but the most common thing is fighting each other for spaces in showdowns that determine who is stronger in that piece.
And in the case of urban foxes, only fighting determines this: there are more than 10,000 animals of this species living in the British capital. With so many animals sharing the same environment, almost none of them will be able to hold the position of territory leader for long.
