DAuthorities in Northampton, England, found the two kittens after a long journey inside a cargo truck between Portugal and the United Kingdom.
On August 7, the story of the discovery of two animals in a warehouse in England took place. Spinny Vets, a veterinary center, explained via Facebook that the cats were picked up by the wife of a warehouse employee, who immediately took them to a vet.
The babies, named Mango and Smudge, were estimated to be no more than four weeks old when they were rescued.
The center explained that the cats “arrived in the UK without vaccinations and were immediately quarantined”.
However, the agency pointed out that thankfully both animals were in good health despite being “extremely hungry and dehydrated” and kept in an oxygen chamber while they recovered.
British law requires cats to be quarantined for a few weeks until they are vaccinated.
The story is not over yet, it already has a happy ending, as the family of the warehouse worker who found the animals is already ready to welcome them. “Even better, the amazing warehouse staff have arranged to support the family with quarantine costs to ensure these kittens have the best start in life.”
“The cats now named Smudge and Mango will always be VIPs – very important pets. [do inglês ‘Animais Muito Importantes’]”, added Spinney Vets Center.
