The UFC stack card will complete International Fight Week on Saturday, with two matches of the championship taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
In the main event of UFC 276, Jared Kannoner (15-5) will be looking to finish the dominant Israel Adesanya race as the middleweight champion. Adesanya (22-1) recently secured his fourth successful belt defense, narrowly past Robert Whitaker in February to claim a second win over the man who ousted him in 2019.
Earlier in the evening, American Cannonier brutally halted Derek Bronson with a series of elbows to firmly establish himself as the number one competitor to the New Zealand-born Adesanya. Cannonier, who previously fought in both heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions, took his fierce knockout power to the middleweight, going 5-1 with four wins from stops.
In the UFC 276 co-main event, Alexander Volkanovsky and Max Holloway are fighting for the featherweight title for the third time. Australian Volkanovsky (24-1) has had an impressive streak of 21 wins and has twice beaten Holloway by decision – once in 2019 to win the gold, then controversially in 2020 to retain it. Hawaiian Holloway (23-6) has impressed since his losing streak, and he’s looking to reclaim the title here.
