Uninstall ASAP!  These 10 Google Play Store apps contain malware

Apps It contains malware, adware and phishing for Android in Google Play Store🇧🇷 Those identified include an OS optimization tool, a music equalizer, and more.

The discovery was made by Dr. Web, which reported that cybercriminals use the applications to perform commands from the “Firebase Cloud Messaging” module, load advertisements on websites, start a proxy server, and collect personal information.

One of the most downloaded apps – and still available on the Google Play Store – is Tubebox that promises cash rewards to users who watch premium videos and ads. However, the app does not pay users, claiming a bug has occurred and asking them to keep watching ads so they can get rewarded once the issue is normalized.

In addition to TubeBox, other malicious apps have been located and removed from the Google Store:

  • Bluetooth device auto connect (bt auto connect kit)
  • Bluetooth & Wi-Fi & USB driver (simple stuff for everyone)
  • Volume, music equalizer (bt auto set)
  • Fast Cleaner & Cooling Master (Hippo VPN LLC)
