The The UK Food Standards Agency has warned against consuming Kinder Surprise brand chocolate eggs.
According to the organization, consumption of this product may be related to the outbreak of Salmonella, 57 cases of the disease have already been identified.
Most of these cases are about children between the ages of three and five.
Ferrero, the owner of the Kinder brand, has recalled packages of its unique 20g eggs, which come in three packages, with expiration dates between July 11, 2022 and October 7, 2022, Sky News reports.
Due to the possible presence of Salmonella, Ferrero has recalled selected Kinder Surprise eggs.

The incident happened a few weeks before Easter, when Ferrero could see an increase in sales.
“To avoid the risk of further spread of the disease, consumers should not consume the products mentioned in the recall warning and parents or guardians of children should follow the risk advice contained therein,” the Food Commission said in a statement.
