A man visiting the Kosang Kulim Zoo in Indonesia on Monday (6/6) had a tough time when he got close to an orangutan cage. This information is from Fox News North America.
In a video that went viral on social media, a visitor – known as Hassan Arifin – approaches the cage of an orangutan named Tina when the animal grabs him by his shirt by the bars and refuses to let go.
Then the young man gives up and tries in vain to escape from the attack. Then the monkey pulled Arefin near the cage, grabbed its feet, and lifted it off the ground in an attempt to bite it. People ran around to save the boy.
The scene was recorded by a witness. The video shows around the victim struggling to get it back, while others kick the animal to get it to give up the attack.
But another video shows the outcome of the situation. Arifin was released unharmed, as was the case with the orangutan.
Zoo director Kasang Kulim, Desiresal, said the young man had broken safety rules in an attempt to obtain a video of the caged animal.
“What happened on Monday afternoon is that the visitor jumped over the edge of the orangutan cage to shoot a video without permission. The visitor broke the rules by jumping over the ledge,” he said.
