The idea of virtual tours in England and Ireland
In 2020, when travel was limited due to the onset of the pandemic, the idea for the site came about. Arnold Jones, a regional expert in church history, collaborated with the UK/Ireland Church History Council to create a virtual tour of Gotfield Elm Chapel.
The project was assisted by a volunteer missionary couple, Elder Martin Anderson and Sister Eva Anderson, who had experience in filmmaking. Michael Rigby joined in, filling in for Jones, and the project continued.
Elder and Sister Anderson enlisted volunteers from Cheltenham Stake to film a scene of saints in church, dressed in period costumes from a British show production of the church. Godfield Elm Chapel [em inglês]. That First plan [em inglês] Completed in November 2022.

Excited by the results, the team created additional virtual tours.
“Knowing so many important sites in the history of the Church in the United Kingdom and Ireland, it seemed a shame not to include them in similar virtual tours,” said Elder Anderson.
