Before making the user icon available in chats, WhatsApp launched a new iOS beta feature that made the tool look like its competition, cable🇧🇷 In this way, users of the 2.2245.3 desktop version will be able to test the upgrade that changes the aesthetics of the group chat in the messenger.
Regarding the new Modernization, the default profile icon will be displayed in cases where the member has chosen to hide their photo in privacy settings. With this, only a colored icon will appear next to the message that has the color of the contact’s name.
So far, there are no expectations for the release of the new one to the entire platform audience. In addition, the new feature is only available for desktop and iOS beta, although there is an intention to release it in Android beta very soon.
WhatsApp is testing new photo and video features
It is noteworthy that in addition to displaying the icon of participants in group conversations, the tool is also testing new functions related to photos and videos in the beta version of Request🇧🇷 With the update, they are redesigning the aesthetic of the camera and will also provide new icons.
How to record videos directly from messenger also changed. The upgrade makes it possible to record a video just by dragging it to the right side of the camera, and toggling the buttons between Photo and Video. Thus, it will not be superfluous to press and hold the recording icon, which will speed up switching between options.
