Likewise, the product presentation notes that it “loves to hack digital things like radio protocols, access control systems, hardware, and more.” For this, the device uses customizable open source code.

While in Brazil, the cheapest offers for the device are in the region of R$1,700, in the US, the Flipper Zero costs around $200. Since its launch, in 2019, more than 150,000 devices have been sold.

On the social network that is successful with teenagers, there are many videos that show, for example, the possible utilities and tricks using the device. One of them shows a user using Flipper Zero to copy an unlock card from his building’s door and apply the code to keychains purchased online.
