In an interview with Game File, James Windler, narrative director at Guerrilla Games, was asked why LEGO Horizon Adventures, which will be released for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, was left on Xbox. According to him, the reason was to focus on PS5 performance.

“Right now, we’re very focused on pushing these consoles to their limits and making this game look as good as possible on them,” Windeler explained. “And as you know, we don’t really have anything to announce about Xbox right now.”
This answer may be a bit of a contradiction considering the Nintendo Switch has less graphical power compared to the Xbox Series X|S line. But why is LEGO Horizon Adventures targeting this version on the Switch then?
According to Windeler, Sony wants to bring the franchise “to a wider audience, including younger audiences who like family-friendly games.” In any case, it seems that an Xbox port is not part of Sony’s business plan for a number of reasons other than focusing on the PS5. What do you think of this?
