With bowel cancer, Britta Gil was hospitalized in SP for surgery | Sao Paulo

On Monday (14), singer Brita Gil published on a social network that she had been hospitalized at the Serio Lebanon Hospital in São Paulo to undergo preoperative tests. She is treating bowel cancer and should have surgery on Wednesday (16).

According to the artist, she underwent an MRI and a Pet Scan, a machine that can accurately detect tumors and also check the regression of cancer.

“I will come later to tell you the result of the pet examination, but it was very good, thank God,” he said in a video.

On Sunday (13), the singer paid tribute to her father, Gilberto Gil, on a social network.

“My father, my hero! I love you endlessly! In the video I have a baby on his lap, at our home in Salvador, in 1974! Then I was two years old in a blue dress! Happy Father’s Day.”

In April, Britta said she fell into septic shock, which occurs when an infection spreads throughout the body rapidly, while being treated for the illness diagnosed on January 10. At the time, she said in a video that she went through a “huge panic”.
