Due to the epidemiological and entomological situation of dengue fever, the Environmental Health Surveillance of the Municipal Health Department reinforced a joint effort on Saturday (14).
628 visits were carried out in the Esplanada region. Forty-four endemic disease control workers carried out work to prevent dengue fever, Zika virus and chikungunya fever.
In addition, inspection and sealing of water tanks, removal of Aedes aegypti mosquito breeding sites, as well as instructions on waste separation and correct destination were performed.
According to the environmental monitoring coordinator, Karina Giacchini, 15 tires were collected, 17 water tanks and water tank treatments were carried out, in addition to the signing of eight adaptation conditions for residents.
Joint efforts are made by neighborhoods on a monthly basis. In the Esplanada district, there was also publicity for “Bota Fora”, a waste collection procedure, which will be launched and commenced on August 19 and 20, coordinated by the Solid Waste Sector of the Urban Infrastructure Secretariat.
