Young lawyer Geovanna Requião Costa, 26 years old, born and raised in the municipality of Jagurari in the north of Bahia, is about to embark on a journey that will make a dream come true not only for her but also for her family. Giovanna is one of 47 Brazilians selected to receive a scholarship in an international program sponsored by the UK government.
According to G1, Giovanna began her journey to London this Thursday (14) where she will complete her Masters degree. The scholarship she won is provided by the Chevening Scholarship Scheme, which is supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations. This program is recognized as the largest and most prestigious scholarship offered in the United Kingdom.
What distinguishes the Chevening Scholarships is the breadth of knowledge, which allows students to choose one-year master’s programs in any academic field. In addition to university tuition fees, the scholarship includes air tickets, visa and monthly financial support.
“I still don’t believe it. I’m still very pessimistic about everything,” he said.
